A: TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) typically refers to teaching English in non-English-speaking countries. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) has a broader meaning, including teaching non-English native speakers in English-speaking countries. The two are mutually recognized in international English teaching circles with equivalent value.
Q: Is Golden TEFL's certificate recognized?
A: All certificates are issued by London Teacher Training College (LTTC) and approved by UK NVQ and Ofqual. Each certificate carries three-tier authentication: solicitor notarization → home country education authority endorsement → Chinese embassy endorsement. Valid as qualification for foreign nationals applying for work visas in most countries.
Q: How long does the certificate process take?
A: On-site certification takes 4-8 weeks (including training and exam). Online courses are self-paced; typically 3-6 months from enrollment to certificate. After passing the exam, the certificate is usually issued within 4 weeks.
Q: Are online certificates the same as on-site?
A: Yes. The online and on-site certificates are both issued by LTTC with the same authority. The only difference is the learning method (self-paced vs. classroom).
